Swadeshi Mandi-2020, Rewadi Samosa-Chatni

 Hello Friends,

Welcome to MAHAMANDI 2020

The word "Maha" means big and "mandi" means a place to buy and sell or in other words a "Bazar". Thus the name Mahamandi can be understood as a huge platform that provides the opprtunity to buy and sell. Mahamandi is the socio-marketing maha event of NITIE. It is organised annually by National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai is a one of its kind event where the students take the business to the street where it actually belongs. But this time Mahamandi has gone virtual just as all the other learning activities.

Mahamandi 2020 is named as "Swadeshi mandi". This time we are focussing on being "Vocal for Local" as a support to honourable prime minister's campaign- Vocal for Local. The slogan of Swadeshi Mandi is "Local ko global banana humari jimmedari banti hai".

In pursuance of the Swadeshi Mandi slogan on this Independence day I present to you- "Rewadi Samosa Chatni".

I have travelled to ten states in India viz. Delhi, U.P., Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya; but never found samosa chatni like the one served in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. You go to a shop where samosa is served and get complimentary sauce or some kind of chatni that is not meant for samosa.  At a good restaurant you pay at least 30 rupees for one samosa but you feel the taste of only potato, maida and oil and sometimes you even get a samosa stuffed with noodles (who the hell in this world likes noodle samosa??). Today, I will introduce the real samosa chatni to the world of readers-

Our samosa contains-

Paneer

Peanuts

Potato

Onion

and not to mention maida and the best quality of oil.

We have a huge variety of chatni but I'll mention only four of them which I think tastes best with samosa-

Tomato-water chatni (Extra-spicy/ less-spicy)

Pudina (mint) chatni

chhole pani and dahi

Khatai chatni

.....................

I personally love the first one i.e. Tomato-water chatni. It costs just 10-15 rupees for two samosa and chatni is complimentary!

We are planning to open restaurants only for Rewadi samosa-chatni focussing on south and south-west India, as people here are very good at Idli, vada, paav but have no ideaa about SAMOSA-CHATNI.

I would like to thank Mahandi 2020 for providing me such a great platform to introduce my idea to the world of readers and leaders.

Welcome to our world of taste!
